What can focus areas be used for?

1. Strategic Monitoring: Digitally map your strategy and save relevant trends and signals directly in the appropriate field. Our Strategic Intelligence also informs you about new developments, opportunities, and risks.
2. Curated Collection without Monitoring: Use focus areas as a structured knowledge repository for your well-founded insights from scouting (e.g., patents or startups) – without automatic AI monitoring.

How are focus areas created?

There are two ways to create focus areas in AnyIdea:

1. Via the Strategy Menu: Create new fields centrally under the "Strategy" menu item. Here you can clearly organize your focus areas into appropriate sections.
2. Directly during Scouting: Simply save interesting trends or signals using the bookmark icon. You can immediately assign the content to an existing field or create a new focus area for it.

How does Strategic Intelligence work?

The monitoring is based on the entered goals, description, and associated topics of the focus area. You receive a monthly automated update on all developments and signals within your focus areas.

Can content be saved in multiple focus areas?

Yes, your insights can appear in multiple focus areas. When you click the bookmark icon, you will see which focus areas the content has already been saved in. Clicking "save", saves the content to an existing focus area, while clicking "saved" allows you to remove the content from the focus areas.
