
Collections and Focus
Have you discovered relevant trends and signals in scouting?
When you save Trends or Future Fields, you have the option to save them for later evaluation under the menu item Focus Pre-register and/or topic-related in a Collection to save:
- Reserve for evaluation: Save Macro trends or future fields that are to be assessed. These are listed in the menu Focus displayed and, after an evaluation, accordingly in Trendradar visualizes.
- Save to collections: Make use of Collections, for all important discoveries, such as Macro Trends, Future Fields, and Signals, central and clear to save. This makes it easier to access and organize your collected information on a topic.

What collections can be used for
- Strategic fields of innovation and search: Store relevant trends and signals to centralize new strategic opportunities and technologies for future fields.
- Team or department-specific topics: Use collections to collect relevant data for departmental or team projects and topics.
- Collection of existing solutions for current projects: Store micro-trends, relevant companies, patents, and other essential data that can directly help support and enrich ongoing projects.

How are collections created?
Collections can be created in two ways:
- Right when you save a trend or signal: Is there still no or no suitable collection available for a trend or a signal? Click on the bookmark icon and select “Create collection.” Describe them and save the selected content directly therein.
- In the Collections menu item: By clicking on “Create collection”.

Can content be stored in multiple collections?
Yes, a signal or trend can occur in multiple collections. When you click on the bookmark icon, you can see in which collections the content has already been saved. When you click on”save”, the content is saved to an existing collection when you click on “saved” The content can be removed from the collections again.
What happens to content that I saved before collections existed?
Trends and signals that you have already saved before the collections are released are added to the automatically created collection Findings assigned. From there, you can distribute the content to your own collections.
